Escu_ro b2b Cretu – DBKA146
Another week, another pair of fairly unknown Romanian minimal techno DJs – this time Escu_ro b2b Cretu.
Whilst Escu_ro is an established minimal DJ on the Romanian circuit, Cretu is not that well known, and has almost zero presence on the internet – though the one thing I have found is that he created the Soundroom podcast, which is a really good podcast series focusing on minimal, and mostly Romanian minimal, and has been going for a good 10+ years.
The mix starts off at quite a clip yet is very much minimal, and it does also settle down quite quickly.
I’m not sure there’s too much to say about this mix, it’s towards 3 hours long, it goes at a fair pace, occasionally it’s dark, but often quite jolly (though minimally so), some more atmospheric moments but never loses the dancefloor pace.
