Jay Tripwire Live Hardware Jam – Meoko Podcast
Jay Tripwire is an interesting DJ, and I’ve featured him before.
This set is something a bit different to a DJ set, and is a hardware jam, so there’s no ability to ID any of these tracks…because they aren’t defined tracks, at least to my knowledge, unless he’s producing some.
So it’s kind of a techy mix, in more ways than one – though minimal techno with an edge on the techy side.
It has a deeper side to it at times, a techier side, quite an almost cold minimalesque vibe to it too, the stripped-back nature at times brings me back to the mid-2000’s Berlin minimal.
The mix…well…the hardware jam trails off for the last 25 minutes and a beat is eschewed, but arguably it becomes more interesting.
Interesting is the word for Jay Tripwire, and interestingly good this two hours of music is.
