RAHA – Danube Podcast 022
Having been to Japan this year, I can only confess to having an obsession for all things Japanese now – though RAHA is one of my healthier obsessions.
For me, RAHA is right up there in minimal techno royalty. I’ve featured a couple of his sets before – from Club Der Visionaere and from Vent in Tokyo – almost the most sublime in minimal.
This is actually a recording of RAHA at Vent, though from 2025 so not quite a replica of the previous one I featured.
The mix starts on the woozy minimal side, like a thin, old drunken man trying to cross the road – the beats are understated, the melodic wafting through.
The second half of the mix does become a bit chuggier, before going back into the land of dreams once more.
